Our relationship with you will start the way most business relationships do – a good conversation. We’ll want to learn as much as we can about your business, its structure, how it generates profit and what the team is like.

These initial conversations are vital. Running a business is hard work. It is all-consuming and sometimes it feels like you’re spending most of your time putting out fires. This chance to reflect on your business, to really get to grips with how it functions, is the perfect time to understand where you’re at, and with a little work, where you could be.

It is often during this time that you’ll learn a thing or two. Either from the forensic analysis of your day to day operations, or from our initial feedback and recommendations.

This is a really enjoyable part of the Flourish experience – we love hearing about businesses and – no surprise here – people love talking about their business and sharing their success!

This is where the real work begins. Over the course of a day, will be work in collaboration with you to outline your business strategy for the next three years. This will include looking in-depth at your products and services, current and potential markets, your customer base and where there is room to grow.

It is during this time that we’ll really get to grips with your financial goals and how we can help. We’ll look at how our suggested three-year plan will meet, or even exceed those goals, and what we need to do to get you there.

Now we know what the next three years will look like, let’s get into to the details of the next 12 months. This will be an incredibly critical time and it is important that we hit the ground running.

We’ll outline the key objectives, deadlines and start assigning tasks. We promise this won’t be laborious or too time intensive, but it will be essential to complete this work and make it a priority.

This is where we start taking the ideas and the ‘what-ifs’ and start making them a reality. We’ll have our 12-month plan to start us off, but we know that during any growth plan unexpected obstacles will appear from a number of directions, so we’ll work with you to adapt our plan and continue to identify areas of growth.

Key to this period will be strong and proactive communication between us and your team.

Now it’s time to review where we started and where we are now. Our process is cyclical, which means we’ll take a look at what went well, what could be improved and, where needed, set some new objectives for the year ahead.
